Does anybody have any dealings with 'Concept Design Associates'

Been approached by them yesterday and was wondering if they were legit as there is an up front holding fee (returnable on payment of their first invoice) for utilising their services.

I had a call from them last week. I don't like to have associations with companies that make unsolicited marketing calls.

His reason for the call was that they have work around the area that I cover which needs servicing, however their previous contractor has failed to supply adequate insurance documentation.

So they want you to pay them to work for them, tell them you want money upfront and see what they say.

I have had similar things will the goverment but that is written into a contract, the contracts are large and the money is held in case we fail to complete the contract.

This sounds similar to a tactic used by a company called "Ufindus" several years ago.  It was actually just an advertising sales company who advertised in places where few people looked.  They would say that they were looking for a window cleaner in the area............ that they had customers.............etc.  It made it sound like they had loads of work for you.

Tell you what.  Give me £500 and I will give it back to you when you've done your first big job for me.  At best you would be giving me an interest free loan.  At worst, I would be scamming you.

Why would a Printing company have work in their area for a window cleaner...........

I don't think it is. They were called Concept Design Associates -CDA.
