thanks for your help on the charger.
you know what i think its the battery thats knacked
its about 2 or 3 years old
when i connected the charger it went to green almost immediately although the battery has worked and would need a charge.

Its sounds like its knackered my one went the same way.Go to Mapland and buy a 12amh one and get a smart charger just make sure the polarity is correct red with red wire and black wire with black. The smart charger might correct your old battery as may one did , its about 20 quid and the battery is 35 quid but it will last longer also fasten the battery down as they flop around and short out.

hi wizkid,
on my backpack charger the green light comes on after about 5 seconds and stays on til i disconnect in the morning.
It must be charging because i've used it for three days all day now.
Does the charger not show when the battery is fully charged?
Thanks

I could not answer as my charger is different. How you can check if your  charger working. Is to switch the pump on then correct the charger to your B/P the motor will increase revs if the charger is working. Hope this will help you .
