Anyone on here use sage for invoicing/wages etc

thinking of changing but am I right in thinking it notifies you when jobs are due?

any comments appreciated

Depends what Sage you're talking about. I briefly used the basic package but gave up on it as it was heavily geared towards sales companies. The accounting side of it is very complex and you'd need to invest in some training to learn how to use it correctly. In a nutshell, Sage is for large businesses who have people with the time to learn to use it properly.

If you're after a basic scheduling package then check out George, Roundtracker or Window Cleaner Pro all of which are excellent programs.

In my past life I was sage trained and was the sole operator of it for a small sales company. It is definately geared towards sales related business'.

The only benefit of using sage over a window cleaning specific software like George etc is that your accountants fees will be less as they will have less work to do. (assuming your accountants use sage that is) and this will be offset by the training you will require to use it effectively.

IMO definately stick with George.

I use Sage, its ok for invoicing and purchases etc. My accountant just takes a back up at theend of year and does the accounts from that. You can run statements , monthly figures , reports etc. Just practise on it. I dont think it schedules work tho, not sure about the higher packages.
