I requested an adapter for my SLX30 from a threaded end to a gooseneck with an extreme brush.

Ive cut the threaded end off and the adapter that has been sent is the wrong one and has the same od size as the od of the first section, so Im left with a sawn end and no pole that I can use apart from an XTEL18 which weighs a ton and cant do half of my work.

I have a load of 2nd storey to do Thursday. Please could you send me the right adapter asap please. Ta

Are you saying that the adaptor is too big to fit in the end of section no-1?

The adapter spigot end that is intended to fit inside section no1 and be glued is the same diameter as section no1

if you heat up the section of pole with the thread in, it will eventually soften the glue, then you can re-attach it to your pole so that you can use it while you are waiting for the new clamp.

I did think of that, if I hadnt have sawn the thread, not quite got it all and then sawn another 20mm to make sure-so basically the thread is in 2 peices as well

Made a right pigs ear, I know, but having said that, I shouldve been sent the right adapter

Right, I see.

I know you'll lose 5ft but the adaptor should clamp into your No-2 section allowing you to then clamp the goosneck in to it. This might help you out 'till you get sorted. I know there are two different sizes of these adaptors, I got one for my MKI slx 25.

Thanks mate. I'll just have to try and wait for the adapter, or if worse comes to worse, dump the no1 section for a couple of days

As a last resort,  tie-wrap then gaffer tape the goosneck along the end of your N0-1 section.

Apologies for this. I do not know what has happened there, but I will go down to the Office today and get the right one sent out to you. Basically then you should have had the 'Pole Adapter Kit Type A' which rather than having a shaft of carbon has just the No.1 clamp which fits directly onto the Section No.1 end. I will get this sent out today.

What you can do as a stop gap is as ♠Winp®oClean♠ has suggested - slide the carbon gooseneck inside the top of Section No.1 and hold it in place with tape. This will allow you to continue working until the correct item arrives.
