How long between quote and booking!
« on: July 05, 2011, 04:45:56 pm »
Just had an email through today asking if I can come and do the job I estimated for via email October 2009  :o
Needless to say I said the price may be a bit more and will have to confirm on arrival.

Obviously been busy ;D

i'd do it same price as a good will gesture, people like feeling special so make sure you tell em, "i don't normally do this" then add something complimentary. :)

Suppose it would seem to her like shes getting it done at old prices and feel better about it so may try it but I'll reserve judgement until I see it  ;D

do the job a bit quicker than you would have at the new price just to get your own back a bit.

Maybe they had it done by somebody else back in October 2009 who gave a cheaper price. Now its ready for another clean?

Perhaps they are now realising what a mistake they made back then and that you are the man!

Probably make your mind up about whether to honour the existing price or give them the relevant "today" once you've assessed the job and got any further relevant info from the client.

I had one come through yesterday from may 2010.
He even tried to get it cheaper on the basis of not wanting one of the rooms done, think he had a bit of a shock when the 'new' price went back to him because the Vat has gone up since then, making it more expensive than the origional quote :o
But it's booked now so all's well that ends well.

Even did a quote and booking today from a leaflet that went out sometime last year
