Need a new pump
« on: July 05, 2011, 04:10:31 pm »
I need a new pump for an Ionics system, ideally with same mountings as ionics but at a cheaper price.

Any help appreciated.

Not got a photo but its four bolt holes, 81mm between centres width wise and 57mm between centres height wise.

The last one I bought from Ionics cost me £180  :'(

and Ian, if you have an amp meter, I would be very interested to find out what amps that pump is actually drawing, because it's got to be more than the 3 they advertise.

Spruce,

I have an amp meter, I'll stick it on it when I get it fitted and let you know.

Thanks Ian,

If that pump does draw 3 amps as they advertise but won't confirm, then its a good buy as it will reduce the amount of battery power used over a day.
The Shurflos draw about 6 amps so that would equate to 2 Vyair's for the 1 Shurflo.

Richard, I use a 3 button digital one, it's the Crowe elect one that most places sell.
