Very poor workmanship
« on: July 03, 2011, 01:10:45 pm »
I brought a trolley system 7 months ago from ionics, and on Friday i noticed velcro straps hanging down from the bottom of the system. Today I thought I had better have a look so I unscrewed the back panel to find that the pump had come away from it's fixing, the velcro straps had completely come undone and the only way to secure the pump back on it';s mountings was to cut the tube, fixing he pump to the exhaust port so I could then take the pump off so I could re-fix it to the back of the drum and re attach the tube. If whoever put the bloody thing together had bothered to put the pump in correctly I would not have had to cut off the tube and reassemble the whole thing togther.  Once I had cut the tube I had to go to Halfords to buy some new tubing as I need the trolly for tomorrow, all I could get was fuel pipe which is rubber, do you think this will be OK and not contaminate water?  I think the whole things has been put together really badly. Although I am not defending Ionics as I know they do not build them, they have brought them and sold them on so they should have checked them over.  Rant over.
