rotovac 360i or sx-12
« on: July 02, 2011, 07:19:00 pm »
Hi,

Just wondered which you found performed best (or you think would) for tile & grout cleaning - the rotovac 360i or the hydraforce sx-12? Am considering which one to get - would be run off a tm.

Cheers, Craig

I would vote sx12 however you can't use it for carpets.

Maybe compromise a little for added versatility.

My preference is to use the sx12 for rinsing not cleaning.

Dave Washbrook had a Rotovac 360 which he used for hard floor cleaning but he went back to a SX12.

I have used one 3 times, but Dave Washbrook did sell his back to Alltec because it wasn't as fast or leave the hard floor as dry as his Sx12 and that is fact you can call him.

If you listen to what people have to say you can quite easily work out what is good or what is right for you, I have been in this industry for over 20 years cleaned well over £1million of soft furnishings and have bought loads of cleaning equipment which wasn't fit for the purpose I wanted it for so you could say by passing on my experiences to others that I can save them time and money.

Whether you take my advice or not I don't care but after being regularly on the forums for 10 years I can always recall posts threads and actual conversations what you do with the information is up to you.

it is true what Shaun says about Dave Washbrook having a 360 but what Shaun did'nt know was the the hard floor head has a rubber skirt on it to help  suck up the water and Dave had taken his off or should i say it fell off and he was not sure what it was for.

I have had a number of spinner tools in my time and I have to say the 360 is the dog's thingie's when it comes to cleaning crappy floors.

The great thing about the 360 over the spinner is you don't need high water pressures as the brush attachment does all the hard work and with less water pressure you do get a dryer surface.

The spinner is great for doing a demo in a customers house as its quick to set up but for speed of cleaning the 360 is far better.

Dave,

What do you think of the 360 on carpets? Compared to say the rx20! I'm just in 2 minds on which to get or just stick with the evo wand!

Cheers

Billy the Rv is a great bit of kit but it depends on what market your in ?

If you are in the commercial secter then the RX is the fella

Why,  because its got the weigh and the size motor to run all day long but if its the domestic market your in then the RV is idea because oF its manoverabilty it has over the RX.

I just find the RV far better than a spinner because of the stiff brush it has saying that i have all 3 heads for mine so i can clean carpet tiles fitted carpets and hard floors.

Any further questions Bill you where to reach me.

After considering them I've decided on the sx-12 / 7 or the woodbridge spinner equivilent Ive seen. Looked at the rx and want one but only just starting up so thought it was a lot to spend out initially. Thanks, Craig
