Van sorted to rent, but how much ?
« on: July 01, 2011, 09:39:24 pm »
Well I've sorted a van !

Its a Pegeout Boxer on an 04 plate.

I'm going to be renting it off my brother in law till I can afford to get myself one.

He bought it in Jan to do weekend jobs Plastering / decorating, but he hasn't had any work for a while and it just sits on the drive doing nothing.

Text him today (he's in Holland at the moment) and asked if he would consider renting it to me.

He has said yes as he was going to sorn it when the tax expires in July. Will sort it out when he gets back.

Question is how much do I offer to rent it for ?

Anyone got any suggestions ?

1/2 what a rental van would cost you seems fair to me (cheapest rental that is  ;D)

Was thinking around the £100 - £120 mark a month. Also i would need to put him on my insurance as he would need to be able to use the van at a weekend (im only planning on using it during the week really)

Will ring my insurance company tomorrow and see what the difference would be to add him on and go from there i suppose

mm wouldn't he need to add you to his insurance as the van is registered in his name
