Usually what happens here is they have had a trad cleaner for years and he charges £2 or summat a fortnight. They don't want to tell him he's crap, and for  £2 a fortnight they'll not upset him. Then they get a WFP guy to clean them properley once a month. At no point does it enter the trad guys head that anythings amiss. Are you WFP or trad edward?

Or maybe they keep the trad guy on cos he gets rid of the spots that the WFP guy leaves.  ;D ;D
I can remember when waking up stiff in the morning was a good thing.

Been checking windows on houses that say they have a windy for last month while canvassing. Can tell the ones cleaned by wfp cleaners by the spotting if your picky you can find spotting on 50-60% of windows cleaned by wfp.Even  a leading ro wfp manufacurer will tell you theres only 40-50% chance of a perfect window with wfp.spotting with wfp, squeegy marks from trad there is no perfect way to clean a window.have 18 months experience with wfp 20 years trad.Youy can do a good job with either with good technique and experience but niether is perfect 100% of the time.

I agree, but why the continual slagging of of trad by wfper's, horses for courses and all that. Round here 80% of custys wont have wfp, that is why I cant switch.

That sounds like they have a very cavalier attitude to another human being's safety.  I wonder how they would drive if you got in a car with them.
Seriously though, I would be very surprised if it was 80% if you just went ahead anyway.  I think much depends on how it's presented.  I suppose that if you were to sound out your customers and ask them if they wanted what they currently have or if they wanted their windows left wet then it might even be more than 80%.  When I switched, on the previous visit I left a pre-printed note with their bills informing them that the switch would be happening soon, of the advantages of WFP (including my safety), and that if there were any imperfections after the first clean, they would rapidly be resolved on the second clean.   Unfortunately it is the case that with some types of jobs, it can take a clean (occasionally two) to discover the weak links so that you can put them right.
There was something like a 5% turnaround of customers in the first few months of WFP whereas it had been totally settled before that.  Some I lost.  Some I gave up on.  It was a price worth paying though.

and i agree with that,if you want to be picky you can find some degree of spotting on 50% or so,may only be a couple of spots but they will be there, most customers dont notice or mind or care they just want the bird crap dust and dirt etc washed off

I have a  few where they have a trad as well. Few weeks ago he was about six houses down from me and working his way up!! We spoke for a bit etc... and i wondered what he would do when he got to the house i'd just done as he knows i do it too. I didn't hang around to find out. My guess is he just left it and knocked as normal for his £3, but thats only a guess !!

what a complete mug. U can earn 3 times as much in a day wfp over trad. In comparrison whilst you are sweating your nuts off up n down n carrying ladders and bucket all day struggling earning 100 quid us wfp boys are taking it easy taking 300. So stick that up your arse n suck it. ;D ;D
