« on: June 30, 2011, 07:42:38 am »
so after my little incident with anchor cleaning putting in an unpumped r.o instead of a pumped one i was looking at my van to make sure everything alse is what it is ment to be, then it dawned on me ...

How do i even know thats a 600gpd? how can you tell ???

for that matter how do i know its a 350ltr tank?

i know its a 100psi shorflow pump cos it says so on the pump :) i know its a 50 mtr hose because its 50metres long but the rest is anyones guess ???

Put up a photo of it & we'll tell you. It will prob have either 3x 200GPD membranes or 1x 20" membrane on top, so should be easy to spot.

The GPD rating is in American gallons and is based on optimum conditions,.. in reality you will never achieve 600GPD even with the booster pump.

well from my experience RO never produce anywhere near the rating.

my 450GPD produces 50l per hour

the 200GPD i sold, made 12l per hour.

as for you tank, you can always compare the measurement to those online.

350 litre tank should measure 0.35 cubic mteres. So measure it, length x height x width. Eg 1m x 1m x 35cm = 1x1x 0.35 = 0.35 cubic meres = 350 litres.
Bear in mind some variations will occur because of thickness of tank walls and the capacity it will actually hold will be effected if it's baffled probably by 10 % or possibly more.(not too sure about that bit) but it will give you a fairly accurate guide.
