I have a couple of unpaid invoices and im fed up of chasing them, some one put a link to a court and it was all done on the internet.

I see this once but worried me as your signing up for them chasing the debt; wondered if your opening a can of worms.

I thought if the debt was under £100 forget it!

But you can put down as an expense with accountant.

not sure about £100 thing come one is chasing me for vodafone for £31 i dont owe and have supposedly gave me a default without taking the matter to court for me to dispute.

They don't need to bring you to court to default you. I think it's something like 3/4 months unpaid and they can defaut you. You are thinking of a ccj when you mention court.

You should have had a default notice from them though. They should have written to you stating that if you don't pay they would enter a default aginst you. If you have moved address without notifying them, that may have sent it to your old address which does countt as notifying you.

Harvey Ingram will just send a before court letter,you don't sign up for anything,if the letter don't work they will ask you if you want to take them to court,in the £3 letter they will add on £40 plus interest of the debt

Not to sure,have a look at there website,I guess if you run a business you van do it for anyone,you have to put invoice numbers and how long they owe,we got paid for a builders clean plus the £40 plus the interest,but a pub didn't pay up could have taken them to court didn't have to sort it

not moved address, but how can some one default you with out proof??? ie i cancelled this service and they still charged me and they actually owe me money so how can some one just default you??

i could go defaulting all the people that i dont like if its that easy.........and there are loads of people

I'm in the process of suing a company for unpaid invoices, £1,464.00
Wrote to them lots and now started court proceedings cost £95 to start,
I am now suing them for a total of £2,600.

Once an invoice is 'Late' Mine are all 30 days to pay, you can start and charge interest on a daily rate, also you can claim compensation of £40 per invoice upto £999.00 then £70 up to £10,000. It keeps going up....
Goverment Legislation for all this is called; 'The late payment of commercial Debt (interest) Act 1998.
I've had to learn all about this stuff during this process. its all there for OUR benifit.

Also did you know that invoices can be submitted upto Six Years after the work has been completed. 'Limitation Act 1980'

I would highly recommend you copy and paste this small paragraph and add it to your invoices......

ALL INVOICES MUST BE PAID WITHIN 30 DAYS OF ABOVE ‘INVOICE DATE’
We understand and will exercise our statutory right to interest and compensation for debt recovery costs under the late payment legislation if we are not paid according to agreed credit terms.

If your owed money there is so much help online but never let them get away It!!!!
