Half way into the year and I havnt had one tip

I got a £20 tip the other week. Usually get £5 tips abd sometimes £10, rare tho.

Also got a bottle on vodka about two months ago

Sorry, I tell a lie...a customer gave me 2000 envelopes 2 month back !
(He works for a stationery company)...not quite the same

I think tips vary via region, I get a £5 tip Prob once a day at least.

Saying that the richer the custy the less chance of a tip.

I did a £130 job for an old dear a few weeks ago and when I finished she gave me an envelope and said there's a little bit extra in there for you .When I opened it up there was £300 in there , I told her i couldn't take all that , she said you have worked so hard and deserve it ,so I told her that I would take a £10 tip if that was ok and gave her the £160 back . Never in my life have I had that .

 One of my regs went back to live in Austria, when we done last clean on house she gave me £250 tip, a complete hornby train set up including table and a brand new £1200 ice cream maker, all went on ebay and sold for £800 so had a grand tip. Doesn't make up for loss of earnings though 3 cleans a year costing 3 grand.

Many years ago we did Ozzy Osborn's house in Buckinghamshire, they were having the hall carpet replaced which was a Hugh Mackay beautiful light green supreme velvet, huge thing. than ran up 3 flights in very good condition, some of it had hardly been walked on.

They said if we could move it we could have it,  we did the whole house in this top quality carpet which would have run in to thousands if we had bought it in new.

I would have to say its biggest (in more ways than one) tip I have ever had.

Was given a nearly new Bissel carpet cleaner years ago,went on e bay.they had bought it,got half way through their lounge,then gave up and called me

Me again,went and quoted for a couple who are moving abroad for work,they asked if I wanted any booze,said yep ,well up for that,so they filled a big box up for me !! Result 



       



Did knock them a bit off their quote for that lot,job booked next week
