Its about 85g lighter than the plastic angle adapter + thread adapter + brush socket and gives you a little extra reach too.oh right! i'll give that some consideration, the reason im not keen on a goosneck is because i have to get over connys alot and i doubt i would be able to get flush contact with my brush on the window as you cant adjust a gooseneck can you?GBI have the carbon gooseneck and I also have the standard set up with a swivel. The gooseneck is pretty versatile, I thought I would have issues getting to the tops of windows when going over connys with the gooseneck, however I've no really had a problem, just slightly more difficult. However the reach of the gooseneck means that the pole is much less likely to touch the roof.I'd say that the gooseneck is well worth having and if you got both set ups it very fast to change heads. Simon.

The 30 is very usable as an every day pole, it's lighter than many other 25 footers out there, however you can break the pole down and remove the bottom section if you want, then you effectively have an slx 25 pole. Order an extra butt cap and it will help protect the pole. Simon.
ok so im gonna order an slx 30 with white super light extreme standard brush!just wondering if there is much weight difference as an averyday pole compared to the slx 25?thanks gb

You will still be able to add the end section back on when you require 30ft.http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/info_SL_GOOSENECK_ADAPTO2.htmlIt's an adaptor to make the original MKI slx into a quick release end. You WILL NOT glue it in though, it just clamps in to your No-2 section and so you end up with a super-rigid 25ft slx which retains the standard size quick release end. Much better solution than removing the base section.
