Its called anonymity, some like the comfort of a made up name and not revealing too much about themselves, that way they can say what they like and not feel too responsible or just have the fantasy of being another person, the internet is full of it esp forums and is probably here to stay.
Its not really a problem unless you put too much stock into what they have to say
Better to be concerned about what you can control, that is whether you interact with them or not
