A watcher
« on: June 17, 2011, 03:45:08 pm »
Bloke drove me mad today, watching my every move over my shoulder, pulling my hoses out the rooms behind me,was doing my head in,constantly under my feet, hate being watched like that, makes me paranoid, also meant the job took longer.
Had to tell him in the end,as I was sick of it  :-[

Does anyone have a really diplomatic way of telling someone that you dont like being watched?

Obviously we dont want to upset customers, but they are a pain when doing this.

Of course he could have thought he was helping you out....... "pulling the hoses out of the rooms".....why didn't you just say, thanks ever so much for your help, but because you are right behind me all the time, I'm worried that I may bump into you and injure you.

There has been something similar on the window cleaning side and at the end of the day, yes it is annoying if people watch you all the time, but you have to remember you are a stranger that they have welcomed into their home and they have every right to oversee what is going on ;D

Was hoping that after he had seen me do the first room he would be ok,and leave me to it,every time I went to empty the bucket down the toilet he was there turning the light on,flushing the chain, did wonder if he was going to be starting up,he was watching everything I did,he had also read up on my website, the process,so was commenting on that also,so this is the pre spray,oh and now you going to agitate.Carpets were clean too, which made it even harder

From your customer's point of view, maybe they don't get out much and were fascinated at seeing what a belting job you were doing... I must admit though, I hate being watched ;D

I point the turbo drier at the door where they are stood that usually sends them a few steps back then I shut the door to clean behind it (if you know what I mean) then I put the turbo at the back of it.
