solution hose
« on: June 11, 2011, 11:10:12 am »
for about 2 yrs I have been using the same solution line which I believe is the best solution line available, it is rated to 210bar ( 3000psi) @ 150c but it is very flexible and light, unfortunately the name on the side has worn off so i couldnt remember its name..... but this morning I found 150ft of it in my shed brand new :D :D

as there has been a few questions about solution hose over the last few months i though I would post its name.

Alfa Gomma - Alfa Jet 210 1/4

an italian company but their UK office is here;

ALfAgOMMA U.K. LTD
43 Wilcock Road
Old Boston Trading Estate
Haydock
St Helens
WA11 9SR

General Enquiries: 01942 407680
Sales Only: 01942 407690
Fax: 01942 407699

they might not sell if direct in small quantities but if you know any hydrolic supplier they might be alble to get it for you.

www.alfAgomma.com/altro/AG_HYDRAULIC%20CAT2010_ENPro.pdf

page 58

I use the single strand, blue coat 1/4 inch

it has a very slight ribbed texture

that's the one :)

interesting fact on that page.... although it has a working pressure of 3000psi it shows the burst pressure at 12000psi which is standard practice for most hoses, they test it at 4 times its rated usage

Mark if your HM hose is the same as i had then the hose I'm suggesting is more flexible, lighter and a thinner profile it is also rated to 3000psi and 150c what is yours rated to?

although this post is not about this solution line being better than any other  particular hose, only that of all the hose I've tried... in my opinion this is the best
