Powerburst is in my view the best pre-spray on the market. It is quite a high Ph so you should always acid rinse. It's probably not worth using on your average domestic, Pure Clean is better for that, but on dirty and really dirty carpet PB is the one.

I did a job at the weekend (works canteen) which had loads of oil spots from lorry drivers boots.

It needed something powerful and I used PC Traffic Clean (the suppliers had just sold out of Powerburst so they recommended that).

How would you compare the two and what sort of situations would you recommend for them?

Power burst is prob one of the best performing pre sprays on the market in a wide range of situations if used correctly there is not much it won't tackle.  Also economical too. Apart from enzall and m power its all I carry in the van pre spray wise. Tried others and nout comes close

I've never used that product but it sounds very similar to Ultrapac Renovate which I use in similar situations yours.
Did a similar job in an office at the weekend with oil black marks all over the place and PB got it out no problem.

Traffic clean is same as multipro, a little stronger and has water based solvents it was prochems most popular pre-spray before powerburst came onto the market, Powerburst is very economical works out about 50p to do a 3 bed full house clean. The only let down is if you dont mix it properly it will block your jets.

Ask the customer to pop the kettle on and dilute the powder in a litre jug of hot water.... Then add it to your bucket of hot tap water....

get yourself a 2 litre plastic jug, run tap till its hot, put 2 scoops in and then hold under  hot water tap and give it a swirl, best thing about powerburst is how it mixes really easily. poor full jug into sprayer and repeat til sprayer is full.

if your using a hydraforce then do the same as above but with 6 scoops instead of 2. you can use a fork to assist in mixing if ya like but i don't personally.

I use a big f...off steel whisk from Ikea to mix my detergents, works great.
