SOME CUSTOMERS EH
« on: May 31, 2011, 05:38:03 pm »
Had a customer cancel the window cleaning 3 months ago as she said she couldn't afford it £15 in a very nice area but did ask me if I could give the conny roof a clean  which I used to charge her £15 for also.  I used to clean the windows every 6 weeks so did the conny roof 3 months ago and then removed her from my books.

anyway she has just called and said oh I missed you last time you were round ?

I said you cancelled the service so I took you off my books,    oh no I still want you to do the conny roof

I said I can still do the conny roof but certainly not for £15,   she was shocked and said oh you didn't make that clear when you 1st did it.

I said the only reason I did it for £15 was because with the windows i rounded it off £30 because you were a regualer customers so I gave you £10 discount  but if you want me to clean it now its £25.

she said she would find someone else,   I said just ask the w/c who now doing your windows as Ive seen him.

oh oh oh ok I will ask him,  I said dont think he will do it though do you as hes a doley and aint got a pole system

ok bye steve,  bye Val you take care girl.

made my day  :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

thing is since she cancelled her £15 clean every 6 weeks  Ive added over a thousand pounds worth of work on a 6 week rota,   hope a few more of my crappy ones cancel  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Some just never learn mate. They fail to learn that it's easier to replace them than they can replace us. Then they are supprised when they don't get discounts and the stupid window cleaner who should be gratefull for their custom tells them to get stuffed.  ;)

I have one even stranger than that. Lady asks me if I will clean her windows every three months {I've not done them before} "I have a small three bed semi and you charge one of my neighbours £14 and theirs is bigger than mine".
I charge her neighbour £14 every four weeks and it is a v small house and easy to get round. Anyway, went to have a look the other day and I'm not kidding, the windows were just about the worst I have seen, absolutely filthy. Plus, the house has been extended and has three more windows than the neighbours, two of them over a long sloping roof.
So, I decided not to bother and she didn't like it one bit. Angry on the phone when I told her it was max six weekly and double for the first clean. She followed this up with an email?
Some of them want to tell you how to do your business before they are even a customer  :D wierdo.

well to be honest I did buy £600 worth of work off my mate  but have also picked up quite a lot including a few £50 and £40 cleans and a £60 clean.

Ive dropped a few of those were doing you a favour type custy's who expect you to jump through hoops for them.

That could change very soon, with the number of window cleaners starting up... then the boot may well be on the other foot!!!  :-\

the majority dont stick around,  they do a few months then leave as they realise how hard this job and boring it is
