Pole keeps getting my arm soaked.
« on: May 27, 2011, 05:07:18 pm »
For some reason over the last couple of days i keep getting my arm soaked when using the pole. I am not standing to close to the window and my pole hose doesn't go through the pole but still getting soaked for some reason and can not see where it is coming from.

any ideas?
Dave.

wrong angle so the water is running back down

I find that a 'top-tip' for this is to wrap a stretchy Velcro tie around the gooseneck - this adds no weight and acts as a drip stop for when working at acute angles.

Dave, are you using an aqua dapter?  One of mine had a leak and I had the same problem.

do you think? as i was saying though my pole hose doesn't go through the middle of the pole so if i let go of the hose when cleaning it goes straight from bush down to floor but still get soaked arm.

going to clean my own windows tomorrow so going to have a good look

Is there a leak from the Y piece or the hose from the Y piece to the jets.
I can remember when waking up stiff in the morning was a good thing.

Happened to me a couple of weeks back and it was the T-piece connector , it wasn't fully pushed into place so water was dribbling down the pole onto my lovely soft hands   ;D

wrong angle so the water is running back down

that the main reason i reckon.

water runs on to brush then down pole

I was thinking that, going to have a look in a mo run some water for a while.

Its not the angle of the brush because i can be standing as if you where reaching above a dormer or conservatory roof and it still happens, mind you only been doing it for a few days
