I use an OP machine for agitating on commercial work and 400-500 psi at 70-80 degrees.
I did have the scrubba deluxe and used it on the school job the first time I did it with slow, yet outstanding results.
The job takes around half the time now, probably more to do with becoming more efficient as I have progressed..

Colin,
I agree i got good results....but couldn't help thinking in this modern era that there must be something better , quicker , and easier.....so looking to see what other use...then maybe look to change...
Thanks

Inline sprayer - puts down pre spray quicker over a large area.
And a 17" rotary with tank and different brushes, soft and stiff - extra prespray goes in the tank for the bad areas while agitating.

If you are serious about commercial work you really do need to consider going truckmounted. I have in the past had extracta scrubbas, cleancare power heads and even had an 18" wide wetrock powerhead but none of these cleaned the carpets as quickly and as effectively as wanding. The only attachment that I have seen that will clean quicker and more effectively than a wand is an rx20 but many of my customers do not like the pattern it leaves in the carpet. We are all looking for easier ways of doing things but when tested alongside other methods you will find that in fact the job will take longer. The most important aspect of cleaning is having an effective agitation machine as this really does make a big difference to the speed and quality of a clean and this is one of the areas where an investment will reap you big rewards whatever machine you are using for extracting.

I did not use the scrubba to aggitiate and was not impressed with it.
I use an enviro dri to agitate now with powerburst on the majority of jobs the other deciding facvtor is getting the water really hot.
I used to do big areas with portable and used to set up 5 machines on some jobs. I used to make 5 gallon containers with immersion heaters in them which we would use to increase the water temp in the quantities we were using.
We would be using about 30kw of electric on some jobs.
Can do the same areas with just 1 helper and life is a lot easier with a truckmonunt.
