« on: May 21, 2011, 09:08:47 pm »
 :'( Did my sergury job today all went well.cleaned the carpets no probs although was going to go over the entrance hall again at the end as it was a bit patchy but before this i had the chairs to do in the waiting room to do.Turned on the 1 vac no probs 2nd vac sparking and smelling like elecrical burning if you no wat i mean.
Managed to do the chairs with just the one vac fine but will have to call back to go over the entrance again.The manager was fine with this.
Anyway just wondering wat the price of a replacement vac will be and where the best place to get one from would be.
I use a powrflite.
Cheers lads.Ben ::)

Prices seem to vary from place to place but if you have to buy an new vac and it looks like you have to, then buy a Lamb Ametec. I tried a few Italian manufactured vacs one time but they just do not last as long a Lamb vacs.

Roughly £130 plus vat for a Lamb. You will get other brands for less money of course , your choice.

Woodbridges Amete"C" motors are under £100

Genuine Lamb Amete"K" motors from Woodbridge are much more expensive

Make sure you check the spelling before you order if you want a genuine Lamb Ametek

Bit naughty that, surely that's misrepresentation or something?

Lamb motors are now either made or assembled in Czechoslovakia as well as Mexico hence the C on the end of the model. I have fitted quite a few and not had problems with them.
God must love stupid people---He made so many.
