POLE ADVICE

Or8 lads n lasses, i'm looking for advice on which pole to get.. I'm looking at getting the trolley system from pf and upgrading to a 27ft hybrid xtel, but not sure about the pole. I've also been looking at the clx27 but would have to wait til june  :-\ and the elite20 / elite25...Any info would be much appreciated, kind regards, Shaun..... :)

did the trolly thing did not work for me to heavy toooo much time going back to fill up stairs down stairs way to much go for the van and the slx it will pay for itself in no time ;D ;D ;D

Or8 Dan, yeah we did this last week and i was looking at the clx27, but i'd have to wait til june  :(, as for the slx25, i'd have to wait til july... Do you know if the elite20 / 25 is any good...Also, what would be a good brush head to use...Gav n Matt, i'm starting at the bottom and would be working from the car, so its got to be the trolley system for me :) , kind regards, Shaun....

i was the same if you have got a run ,i would finance a van 220 a month 3 years money well spent  :)

I have never seen or used the elite shaun so i dont know. is there anyone you could borrow a pole off until june? or knock up a harris for £20 or whatever they cost? sorry mate thats my best suggestion. but i reckon if you could borrow one go ahead and order your pole for june.

It is a pole too. good call shaun waiting for the clx27 a friend of mine who started window cleaning last year got impatient and ordered something instead of the gardiner pole i recommended him, that pole now sits in his shed it cost him over£100 and only used it for a month until he bought the reccomended pole. if you do have any work come in before then you could, dare i say it...trad them? have you decided what other bits to buy? Dan

The elite pole is better than the slx and a mile better the clx or anything for that matter u will not be wasting ur money. I've had or tried every pole on the market
And the elite is my favourite the days of needing to wait for a gardener pole to back into stock are over.

Why would a pole which is heavier & has a longer closed length be better? Even the WFPco have had to remove  the weights of the poles from the website as they got, lets say, caught out? ;D ;D

Can I suggest that you think about getting 30 m of yellow microbore or minibore and making TWO hoses. Make one @ 10 m and one at @ 20 m.

I do a BIG manor house and 20 m is quite enough to do each side. And for even quite large detached houses 10 m is long enough and much more manageable and quicker.

Why are they not glued on properly and why do need so much adjustment each day
There is not much difference in weight or length elite is just easier to use day in day out.  U are comparing stats on a website I am comparing the poles side by side  doing my work ???

Obviously I will not be commenting on which pole is better on this Forum :)

Just addressing the issues raised by yourself above.

Clamp gluing - this is no longer an issue for these poles. If your pole clamps are causing you a problem please ring up and we can arrange collection of the pole to put it through the workshop.

Adjustment - If this is needed 'each day' then this means that the locking barrel nuts are not locking for some reason (wear, over-tightening or fault) if this is the case please feel free to ring the Office (not allowed to post the number on this Forum) and we can send out some replacements.
