I use Florazol from Evans industries at about £9 for 500ml it ain't cheap but it's a quality product.
Today I had a delivery of Chemspec products which included Odour Killer something I've not used before so it'll be interesting to see how good that is.

I did the NCCA course in August 2009 and dont recall being told what was the BEST de odouriser, which is basically what is being asked here.

All deodorizers work different on different odours, some bettere than others on urine and so on.
I have found the best ones across the board are either Cotton fresh or Nemesis odour neutrelizer and i am really impressed with the NI172 especially for spraying 1 puff in each room after cleaning wool carpets it is very good

I did the NCCA course you learn the basics thats all,  i have asked many times a question that i think i know the answer to, but i want advice from far more experienced guys in case they have a better suggestion from the many years of expereince they have, surely thats the whole point of  a forum  ::)

The point being that you say you have never used the stuff yet your website states
"2. Pre spray / Spot treatment / Deodorising (As standard) "

So surely you must know about it ?.

He is starting out and asked for a recommendation.

He doesn't state he is an expert in deodourising, merely that it is a service that he offers as standard.

Surely it is better to ask the opinion of those with experience before progressing with a product that those with experience would not touch with a barge pole.

With regard to the NCCA course, it is supposed to be impartial with regard to specific manufacturers and their products.

Glyn does have a point. If you go to Paul's website:
http://k2kleaning.co.uk/default.aspx
It does say on the carpet cleaning page:
2. Pre spray / Spot treatment / Deodorising (As standard)
Yet he stated in his question:
Recommendations please....new and never used the stuff on a job till now..

So how can he be using it as standard or has he never dont a job????

Also his company is not listed on the NCCA website :o

Dont a lot of cleaners use a bit of "poetic licence" on their web sites?

I think you've got to be honest, I think that is very important in business. Plus, you'd be surprised just how much people scrutinize your website, so if you say you are going to do something, like deosouriser as standard, you'd better do it or lose face.

guess its my turn to respond i suppose...

Thanks to all who have been kind in their recommendations and support...

It is a service i do as per the website.....i have been using a brand which i received free gratis...which is nearing the end and needs replaced..and being new i'm always seeking to try other brands etc.. (check out the previous comment where i said i'd found some in my garage enough to see me through this job)... so unfortunately MY FACE IS WELL N TRUELY INTACT (and still handsome) :D

Re NCCA get life! you checked my website then checked the NCCA....when you ring them tomorrow with my memebship number ask them to populate my details to their site as i'm still awaiting this to be actioned....it'll save me a call........pathetic...oh then have some big hairy things between ya legs and come back on here and comment ....to save your face

but to the others thankyou

Paul actually gives his membership number of the NCCA so i would have checked direct with the NCCA on the phone if i was that way inclined  ::)
This is bloody silly, the guy obviosly wants to to it right, he's got some training, some dont bother !
he's asking questions for advice and he gets scrutinised and receives sarcastic comments, as they say if you cant say something positive, say nothing  :-X
I admire the guys who still type pages of info to new starters in order to help them. they make the forum what it is.
but telling someone they "should know" stuff will only hurt the industry when some guy in frightened to ask through fear of ridicule and screws up a job because of it.
