Flat tin roof
« on: May 08, 2011, 02:50:15 am »
Have to walk on a flat galvanised roof that has ridges every 12inches or so to access windows.
Is a plank the way to go?
Any tips ?

Depends on the guage of the iron and your weight.
Some lightweight roofs dent very easily.
Always stand between the ridges and along the line of screws/nails which indicates support below.
I have never used a plank, but maybe polystyrene screwed to the down side would help protect the roof.
