A while ago I was cleaning a sun lounge on a warm day while the custie was reclining in the chair relaxing. I cleaned all the glass and then the door which was slightly open.
Because the custie was there I just wanted to quickly get done and get out of there.
On my final stroke while cleaning the bottom of the door I heard a clunk and a small piece of plastic fell on the floor.
I gingerly looked around red faced to see the custie had not noticed this happen and was still laying there with her eyes closed.

Dilemma: Do I pick the plastic thingy up and hastily perform a repair with the chance that the custie might see what I am doing?
Or should I hide the evidence?
Without hesitation I bent down and performed a magic trick that Paul Daniels would of been proud of and left with the offending object hidden in my pocket!

To this day nothing has ever been mentioned of that fateful day by the custie

Well a similar thing happened again today.
I was cleaning a bay window at the front of a house which had an "inconveniently" positioned outside light on the wall.
Just as I moved the brush from side to side it clonked the side of the light and a small cylinderical piece fell off on to the floor

I couldn't be bothered to perform a repair so I picked the piece up and lobbed it into a flowerbed

I was wearing gloves so there's no finger prints if they try to pin it on me

So is honesty always the best policy?
Or is it a case of "What they don't know can't hurt 'em!"

Am I the only one that this happens to?
