Chemspec Help Mate users take note
« on: May 05, 2011, 07:33:50 pm »
I was removing a bolognese stain from my own cream polyprop dining room carpet and had tried most of my stain kit and Enzall with no success, so I decided to use Chemspec's Help Mate.

I mixed the solution, sprayed it on and left it overnight. When I got up in the morning the stain was gone but the gloss paint on my skirting board where I had oversprayed was as bubbly as my attempts at wallpapering (look at the picture).

In short, if you're using this (superb) product, Take care, wear gloves and quickly wipe away any overspray.

I think you missed a bit ;D
I've experienced the power of this stuff on my fingers, thinking if I was very careful I wouldn't need gloves.
The stinging sensation along with white skin told me to always wear gloves.

I should have said that the stain disappeared within 24 hours of applying the stuff - not the following morning.

I've had it on my fingers too. Nips like crazy and it bleaches your skin. It is the best coffee stain remover I've ever used though.

Oh heck, thats an issue.

And on the plus side that type of carpet allways comes up really well after a clean.
