WCP users - check your customers !!!!

Have had some real problems lately with WCP.....

Debts doubling up,
customers not printing on worksheets
customers not appearing on debt lists
customers been deleted

I have gone through WCP, work sheets, collection sheets & bank statements and have a total of work that has been deleted by WCP

In total WCP has deleted £167 worth of monthly work all together.

These customers havent cancelled or been deleted by myself (i suspend for future reference), but WCP has deleted them !!!

Im not the only person to have had these problems and wanted to warn everyone to check there customer lists if they use WCP.

I believe the problem is that WCP is written in java. As WCP isnt being updated any more, as java is being updated still there are small bugs happening affecting the system.

When WCP came out I tested it... There were so many bugs I was put off and I stuck with George.

Never had any problems with George!

WCP was working fine for me until they stopped updating it.... back to George for me now. Its a real shame because i really liked WCP.

In response to your claims that WCP has bugs that has caused "Debts doubling up,customers not printing on worksheets, customers not appearing on debt lists, customers been deleted" i should point out that no other user has had any other issues, you seem adamant that the fault lies with WCP and i would be very interested to see a copy of your data so as to ascertain the exact nature of the issues. It is also impossible for the software to delete any customer records of its own accord and again i will look into your data to establish as to why these customers may have been erased from your records.

If you could forward a copy of your data to Brad@windowcleanerpro along with your customer details of the issues in question and Ian and myself will look into it for you immediately.

You state that you are aware of other WCP users experiencing the same issues, as we have had no contact from any other users in relation to the problems you are experiencing i would be very happy to contact them directly if you could forward me their contact information. This will also assist in identifying if there are any problems as we will then have more than one database to interrogate, hence it will help us in helping you.

WCP comes bundled with Java 1.6.0_18 to assure it runs within a dependable Java environment as we (as many other developers) had issues with stability of later versions of Java, this means that regardless of later versions WCP will always run in the Java environment that we know is suited.

We are very proud of the integrity of WCP and investigate thoroughly any issues such as this, we appreciate that many hundreds of businesses rely on the software to ensure and this is why we go to extraordinary lengths to ensure the scheduling, debt management etc are all accurate.

Ian or myself will investigate this thoroughly and respond to this thread with our findings

Sorry Brad, but im not happy sending my data over.

My problems have happened since you ceased updates / working on wcp and as java has updated i have slowly had more problems with it.

No one has access to my laptop other than myself and i havent deleted these customers. All in all i have found 13 monthly customers that have completley vanished from WCP all together.

Others who have experienced the same problems as me and contacted me directly have asked not to be named... so keeping with their wishes i cannot forward you the contact details you want me to.

Are you serious, why cant you forward your details, do you think theyll pass them onto your competitors, if youve got a problem with something and want it sorted surely you do all you can to have this rectified, also people have taken time to contact you directly about there problems but have asked you not to mention them sorry but personally I think its only you that is having problems with the software as I to am a wcp user and not come accross this with mine....

Maybe it would have been better to speak to your contact for WCP, before putting it on here? :)
Shouldn't think you would like it much if your customers posted negative comments on an open forum about your services, without speaking to you first and giving you the chance to remedy things.
As for the others that have had issues, why did they contact you and not WCP? Can't see the point in that as at the moment you have "stalemate" and nothing will get sorted :)

If you make a public statement regarding a problem, you must reasonably give WCP the opportunity to rectify it.
Surely you subscribe to online backup they provide and you trusted them for that ?
How would you take it if a customer of yours complained to other customers re your poor service and did not give you the opportunity to sort the problem ? Not too pleased I bet !
I noted your post when you made it and waited for WCP to answer it, that has been done without resolve to them. I did not deem necessary to reply to it without first reading their post.
I use WCP with no problems in fact I mistakenly  disabled Java from my PC and Brad was very patient in sorting it all out.

If some one had a problem like Blue Frog loosing data etc and customers and he found out by accident wouldnt you want to be warned so that you might be able to check out the thing has not happened to yours. I have WCP I will certainly double check my rounds.
Thank you for the warning Blue Frog and the rest of you, dont be so sensitive.

And to WCP, really pleased that you responded to a customer issue and placed the urgency you have on it...... I would certainly buy from a company again that responds to its customers correctly as WCP has.

I am unsure as to how to resolve this issue for you if you are not willing to let me look at your data, if it is due to concerns sending it via email then i can access it via our servers if you are an Internet Backup subscriber. However, as we adhere stringently to The Data Protection Act 1998 we would not do so without your written permission, would this be an acceptable alternative as i am keen to look into this matter to resolve the issue for you.

As stated earlier it is impossible for WCP to delete information of its own accord, the data is effectively held in a complex database structure with many attributes for each record some of which remain within the system in a numeric format that allows us to review information that has been deleted. By 'stripping down' the database we are able to ascertain information, although a time-consuming task it can help us to understand where any issues need addressing.

As for other users experiencing the same issues, i can only assume that if it were an issue that Ian and i would have had many emails regarding this. As we have not had any could i request that you ask these users to contact Ian or myself as a matter of urgency as this obviously affects the running of their business, as we are all business proffesionals i am sure they would want the best for their customers in the same way WCP want to provide the best for our users.

Please let me know if you would like me to look at your data via the Internet Backup service, as previously stated i will only do so with your written permission.

As i am new user to wcp and when the Month of May came round I notice March was missing. Until I look at the page closer there is a date from and to and it gave me from April to the Start of May and so when I enter 1st of March upto May it gave all three Months.

So maybe its not the software but a user fault that miss laid the date show from and to in the right hand corner.

And I also use George as well WCP and when I had a problem after with the free trial I sent a email to WCP on more than one occassion and when I explain to them Brad set it up with the system and had no problems since then.

Hope this might help with your problem as at the end of the day its just a suggestion that you may overlooked.
