Not exactly a fortune, monthly fee and you
pay for the diverted calls.

Really? so you dont pay for the calls that are diverted?? How much monthly with this package with BT? Anyone got a link?

My mobile is contracted with BT.

I pay between £80 - £100 a month just on the diverts!  >:(

Hi Guys

When I moved I found I couldn't take my business line with me, same area, different exchange, so I parked it at my daughters business on permanent divert.

At the same time BT offered me a blackberry with free diverts.

It has saved me a lot of money, now £30 per month for all my diverted calls.

I was a bit reluctant as it meant I have two mobiles but it has worked out really well because I leave the business one at home when I go out in the evening and it's much more peaceful!

Cheers

Doug

BT websites are full of too much info and you can't find anything I would call them or go on the BT forum it's far easier and you can get them to call you.

I have a burnside gsm gateway with a sim card that automatically diverts landline calls to the mobile it cost £15 per month for the sim rental and calls to the same net work are free. The unit has a lot of features and is a very clever piece of kit. I got the unit f.o.c. instead of a handset. I also have a mobile with 2 sim cards that saves me carrying 2 phones around.  The sim also qualifies you for a periodic upgrade of a phone that you can sell to offset the cost of the line rental (sim).    http://www.burnsidetelecom.com/burnside_products/prod_2_fixed_cellular_terminals.aspx Simon from business telecom is the guy to speak to he is pretty well educated and offers free advice and has been a usefull guy to know. He also supplied the dual sim phone. Tel 07973386773

Steve Gunn told me about these and they also have a video on it they sound really good, do you have a 12 month contract to get the unit for free and have to pay for the phone? which model phone takes 2 sim cards? why 2 sims?

they are very usefull things you do have to take out a contract to get the unit and you will not get them from the network companies.
You can send a text to the unit from your mobile to a text back of numbers that have called the landline you can dail lanlines from your mobile through the burnsiode so you only pay landline rates you can plug the unit into any landline socket to gety those call diverted. Ie you can set up landline to landline diversion then get that call forwarded to you mobile.
As for the two mobile numbers there are many reasons for that.

Depending on your contract I got my burnside for free instead of a handset wich didn't bother me as I had blackberry which I loved. The thing about it is I pay my line rental to Virgin £11 and my mobile bill £30 then that's it no call charges as orange to orange calls are free.Looking at changing networks as orange is poor in certain areas up here
