Oscillating Pad Machines
« on: April 25, 2011, 08:16:24 pm »
Hi

Wondered if anyone has one of these type of low moisture cleaning machines. They seem quite popular across the pond with American carpet cleaners but cannot seem to find any UK distributors.

Any info apreciated.

Regards

Eddie

UK Cleaning Systems were doing the HOS Orbot but I believe they had problems gettin CE approval for it.

Nick @ Solutions has one in development with a coue of guys on here testing them.

Other than that it's the Cleanfix Floormac or the Oreck Orbiter which are only 10/11" machines and a little light duty IMO.

It is much the same as a Cimex cr48 is it not? What does it weigh in at 60kg?

Hi Mike and Colin

Are the machines you purchased from Nick the Orbit in the video Mike put up, and if so what do you think of it.

What circumstances do you use the machine in is it just glue down carpet and what cleaning solutions do you use.

we used to use it to agitate on all domestic cleaning but it was just too heavy and big so now save it for commercial cleaning which tends to be glued down or carpet tiles.

we have used a multitude of chemicals but on the last few jobs we used restormate surround ultra which is an encapsulation chemical. We have also had great results with Pureclean.

the job in the video we used pureclean

would you say for small commercial jobs which have plenty time to dry that wand is still a better option for results, speed, time to set up etc, or would something like this although heavy be a better choice?

Thanks Mike

I'm assuming you use HWE in your commercial cleaning as well as the OP machine what percentage does the Op account for and are there any specific jobs you would use it for.
