No way.

If a window cleaner turned up at mine on a bank hol whilst I was in the garden naked sunbathing or havin a BBQ, he would be dumped ;)
Why oh Why did he spell my name as bod & not bob on my wedding invites.

why would you dump him bob?it only takes 10 mins or so to clean the back of a house.maybe even less!so are you saying your taking off the royal wedding day and may day bank hols as well? ;D ;D ;D ;D

nothing wrong with working bank holidays if you have been forced to have work off at other times IMO.lots of people will be working bank holidays.why not the window cleaners? ;D ;D ;D

If a window cleaner saw you naked in the garden, I doubt you would need to dump him  ;D

Not working today (Good Friday).  Doing a very full day Saturday (not a public holiday anyway).  Sunday - not working.  Monday - the externals of some commercial work which won't take too long.   As for the Royal Wedding Day, I will work normally except to start a bit later as I imagine some will be having a lie-in.  Same for May Day holiday.
I do tend to take a bit more notice of the religious bank holidays than the more secular ones as people are less likely to get a bit upset on secular ones.  The exception is Whitsun.  If I need to crack on and work, I just work with a later start.

There are two sides to it Daz. I'd find anyone walking into my garden while we are having a BBQ on a bank hol, I'd find that intrusive.  Otherwis, why not get a head torch and work nights? I know how it is to be behind on work, but some custies will be put out by us tipping up on that day.

Maybe it's all the little points like this that cause custies to jump ship when another WC knocks on the door. Who knows, but if I don't NEED to work on bank hols, I won't.

fair play lads but im not just working tuesday, wednesday, thursday next week because i might upset someone if their sat in the garden having a barbecue!! ;D ;D ;D

think about it!most people dont have a barbecue until around 4 pm by which time ill have finished anyway as i tend to start around 10am-3pm on bank holidays anyway.same for saturday working although sometimes ill work until 4pm.

any customers who feel im intruding ill miss out! ;) ;D ;D ;D

Fair enough Daz. Don't forget though mate, never second guess your custies, and we don't all think the same. I just don't like stepping on their toes if I don't need to. I'll be thinking of you working hard while I'm lazing around in my garden!!!  ;D ;D ;D Try not to make too much noise mate. 8) ;D ;D

Well I just done my shops up the high street and I seen another 3 window cleaners working away, granted it is commercial work, but I am going to have a brew then hit some domestic, then take Monday off, and I will work the royal wedding and will see how it is going for the may day holiday
