hi i want to purchase a new pole which can cover 2 and 3 storey houses without swaping poles.i would have gone a a slx but the waiting time it's to long.so i want to buy the clx 27 with 31 ft reach but not sure if is ok to use day day out .

I have used the clx-27 all day - it's ok but i would hold out for the slx ( this is my everyday pole )

if your currently using a f/g pole thats heavy then you would find the clx excellent.

i currently use jeff's ninja 22ft which is more like 19-20 ft due to breaks for 2 storeys and a 31 ft brodex carbon pole a bit on the heavy side.
the ninja is driving me crazy .it collapses every time on  awkward windows or if you bounce it harder. is very light and rigid enough but the clampless isn't good enough for me

Then i would wait for the SLX

the clx is good ( but it's no SLX ) and if you have lots of difficault to reach windows in a day then you
may find it tiring, theres more bend in the pole and is more than  is 400+ grams  heavier.

I wouldn't like to use the CLX as an everyday pole; I just keep it for 3 story work, and then once I've done the high windows, I swap it for my SLX 18 foot pole.

I'm going to start practising with Jeff's Ninja pole in a week or so, when I've caught up with my work, so I'm a little disappointed to read that.  However, I have one particular six-weekly job, a commercial account, which is just window after window after window; you almost start wanting some sort of access problem after the 50th window in a row; so Jeff's pole sounds ideal for this sort of straightforward job.

Do you think it would be better to keep this pole for just the straight forward jobs that don't have any awkward reaches?

i liked jeffs pole at the beginning but when you have a busy day ahead and the pole starts to collapse at nearly every job or spinning it's very annoying .the idea it's good but needs a better lock sistem

A CLX 27 is my everday pole and i like it,have a superlite 15 degree splay on the end and like this too. Sideways on i would like something lighter still and so the SLX looks like the next step. However it appears i can`t get the same reach length or more unless i get a six inch longer closed length and a SLX 30 and then i am not  getting the weight saving and i know i will get really annoyed if i get continual black hands and even more annoyed knowing how much i have paid for it,they are not cheap. So in my case i only get the weight saving and continued shorter closed length if i get an SLX 22 and back to the van for the CLX 27 for the awkward/hard to reach/higher windows. So i have to compromise or stay as i am and not spend mega-bucks on a new pole and this week i have found the hard to reach/awkward stuff a little easier by bothering to set myself up correctly, stance/hand position etc.
                                                         The pole i want is a SLX 27 and it doesn`t exist.

Thats left me without an excuse for buying an SLX,many thanks,e-mail on its way and so i dont shoot myself in the "foot",i`d better order a 40mm extra 5 ft section for that job i havn`t got yet.

The harris has clamps!  Twisty ones, but they're still clamps.  Jeff's pole is a bit different.

I know they have clamps I just don't use them, I extend and work without them I haven't used the clamps in 2 years

Not messing around with clamps is a quick way to work if you can do it.

The CLX-27 is a fantastic everyday pole. It's light and closes down to only about 5 feet yet extends to allow you to reach third floor windows without any hassle. There is no better pole for the money.
