Had a nightmare today, 4 times with 2 different poles 25ft/35ft, put the pole right up then I could here the internal hose falling through the pole, bring pole down connect back pole up and again it happened, the hose was so soft today due to 25oc heat that it just come loose, seriously thinking of using rectus 21 instead of the john guest....

With the onset of the hot weather, if this happens to pole hose when used with John Guest connectors, it may be worth using a John Guest barbed inset on the top of the pole hose. These can be bought from all good John Guest re-sellers.

Cheers guys, need to do something, when it first happend though it was a faulty part as it happend on both ends of the john guest, but when it happened on another pole I new it was holding....

I use those myself, it won't happen again if you use one of those barbed to stem adaptors.

Yes mate, I've used them for a few years. They make a rock solid connection between hose tubing & JG push fit connector.

I used to use them to split my pole hose length on a 44ft pole when I used it at 24ft for most of the time.

They also make a better connection on Gardiners Pole hose tap/valve.
