100 psi pump and Varistream

Best deal would be buy the pump and use a valve to regulate the flow.

Thanks you Mr ss (youre getting all sensible, just like Tosh  :o ;D) .

 Ive always thought its better to regulate flow with a controller, then the pressure doesnt build up too much, straining the fittings etc.

Worst advice you could get!

No real-time flow regulation, pump running flat out all the time- battery power usage at max, just to name a few! ::)

No. Both pumps together will draw more current (amps) than the Varistream is rated for.

I've tried that with quite an expensive heavy duty valve, and it just wouldn't work for me.  I could have it full on, or it just created airlocks, so I took it off.  It seemed to work great without it; I like the fast flow; but I still get airlocks.

Flip; I'm going to be dreaming about airlocks tonight!  ???

Puttin a tap inline isnt the best as said will build up pressure, so put a tap into a T and then back into tank, then theres no build up of pressure as the pressure is either going to pole or to tank, and turning the tap is regulating which way it goes. Thats how i do mine and it works really well.

I've got both: pump and flow controller, and sometimes when I get back to the car after shutting the valve, the pump is still merrily pumping away, sometimes it's not.
