Have you got a van mount pure freedom set up?
« on: April 19, 2011, 09:38:38 pm »
Evening all. Tried to get through to pf earlier, no joy.
As I've bought a new system, I can't remember the process of flushing.
Can any of you guys help please. All I can remember is gate valve closed and disconnect di vessel.
Ta, Steve

I do this on every fill, ive added softner to my purefreedom system, open ro fully so no pure water for about 10, (disconnect from resin) then slowly turn valve till your getting 50/50 waste to pure, check water with tds till its at its lowest reading then connect to resin....

Rwc-do you mean 10 minutes?
Do you then leave it for half an hour or so or just do this every fill for 10/15 minutes?

Every time, if you check the water after ro as soon as you start filling the tds is really high, my water mains is 245, the 1st second it comes through the ro its about 115 ish, then goes down after a minute or so to 004,

I only flush mine once a week for around 10 minutes but i always detach from DI every time i turn it on , it will save you a fortune in resin , mine goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on etc ;D

and I thought it was only me who let the ro run for a few minutes before connecting to the di ... saves a fortune in resin .... manage to get 8 weeks from my little 7 litre vessel and even then i only half fill it
