Its a fact that anybody whos ever been involved in window cleaning on this forum and beyond will die a not so nice death.

between two and seven window cleaners have been
killed each year in Great Britain and about 20-30 suffer
major injuries as a result of falls involving ladders.
Many more suffer less serious injuries that result in

You might want to add that the changes to Corporate Liability Law which came into place last year now means that if a window cleaner kills or seriously injures himself it is the owner of the property who is ultimately liable.

Falls from height remain the most common cause of workplace fatality. In 2008/09 there were 35 fatalities, 4654 major injuries and a further 7065 injuries that caused the injured person to be off work for over 3 days or more, due to a fall from height.(Source: Health and Safety Executive Website)

The H & S people blow with the wind to "amend" their figures.

Recently, I read that H & S said that working on trawlers was the most dangerous.

As a personal view, I would have thought that being a serviceman in Afg or Iraq would be on top of the list; [sorry, I can't spell Afghanistan]
