« on: April 19, 2011, 06:22:20 pm »
Hi fellas, just want to get your thoughts about the suppliers that you use, are you happy with the service you get? or does your supplier go the extra mile for you?  ;D ;D                                                                                               i've used several suppliers over the years & have been generally pleased with their service, only one has provided me with a really pants service! :(              Charlie.......

Both Restormate and Cleansmart offer fantastic, friendly service!!

I ordered some things fro Solutions just before 3.00 pm on Friday. They arrived Monday at 9.30 am.

but that's a good courier not a good supplier, all the companies mentioned do next day delivery.

BUT!!!!

I ordered some chemicals from Chemspec on a Tuesday at 4.30pm then they arrived 10am on the Monday THE DAY BEFORE!!!  that's what i call service :D

If I don’t get a phone call back I go elsewhere and it may take a month or two before I phone them again  ;)

I order something and it even delivered to my van by Nick himself in 2 minutes flat and includes a cup of tea.... 'Solution's' the one for me. :D

I have no problems with any of my past suppliers which include Extracta, Alltec, Restoremate and not forgetting of course, HydraMaster.

Of all the suppliers I've used, I rate Solutions and Restormate on a level 1st place in terms of service. "Big enough to cope, small enough to care" is a well used motto but totally true.  Solutions have carved a niche by bringing out their own exclusive range of products, some of which are fantastic, the rest are simply very good.

Hydramaster I've only really used for bits and bobs, as I don't have one of their truckmounts..  I'd say they get the job done well but recently took about 5 weeks to repair my RX-20 and get it back to me!  But disregarding that, the service on the whole I've found good.

Woodbridge stock a vast array of bits n bobs, pump parts and components etc but delivery can take ages and the service sometimes hit & miss

Alltec installed my TM and it really is a game of two halves with them.  In an emergency they've got me back up and running very quickly but for other more routine stuff they have been abysmal. Just a couple of examples:  My TM's chemical jug was missing when I got the machine, and 18 months later I've given up asking for it to be supplied.  I snapped the crank handle off my solution hose reel about a year ago and asked for a replacement... nothing happened. Stuff like that isn't major but when little things keep annoying you like that it leaves a sour taste in your mouth.

Used many suppliers they are all great until you have a problem then its how they deal with it that sorts the men out from the boys, the classic we will send it back to the manufacturers doesn't work for me I didn't buy it direct from the manufacturer I bought it from you.

This is what sorts the great suppliers out how they deal with problems and how quickly they react, all suppliers can get deliveries there next day but we are paying delivery charges in most cases if order is low value so is that really a sign of a good supplier I don't think so. Carrying a vast array of items in stock is a must we don't want to be waiting for weeks on end for something we want tomorrow.

At the end of the day everybody wants different things from a supplier whether it be stock levels, advice, cheapest price, eco friendly products etc etc lets be honest about this all suppliers tick some of the boxes and some don't you decide?

Restormate all the time. Also use Extractor for the odd thing.

You wont get better service and help from either of these firms.
