iv decided too go for more commercial work from now on so im booking on an iosh managing safely course, iv had a chap down today to begin working on my iso9000 management systems and im going too go for safecontractor and chas

hopefully these accreditations will put me in good stead to begin winning larger contracts which im capable of winning

richy am i right in thinking it takes about 3 months. what's the cost mate.
the most common question i get asked is are you vat registered.

iv got a deal on the iosh bout 350 plus vat

after speaking today to the guy there apparently are two types of iso9000 like he put it a mickey mouse one and a proper UKAS one

hes giving me a fixed rate of around £2500 i think for the iso gna try n get him down on price a little as he is local, this includes pre cert audits and a certification audit etc i think

ISO is a can of worms best left closed mate!!!! trust me. IOSH course you can do in 2 days easily. you will sit a small test and normally do a little project based on certain H&S issues. Majority of test is multiple choice. Few days study and yer there buddy.

ISO stay well feckin clear. You leave yersel open to be auditied by commercial customers and all sorts. If UKAS accreditied you better make sure records are in top ordr all the time along with your audit program.
