TFR is it nescascary?
« on: April 17, 2011, 12:21:39 pm »
Hi I have a whole house upvc clean coming up and was wondering if TFR really makes that much of a difference?

I have done these before wfp and they have come up ok, however this one is virtually black  :o will i save myself a lot of scrubbing, time and aching if I use TFR?

Also can you buy it at B&Q or HOMEBASE or somewhere?

Thanks chaps.

Go to an auto factor place, you'll get it cheaper than at any of the window cleaning websites.

Yes, use it, but prepared, dib dib dib, for lots of suds.

To be honest I don't find tfr any better than a good strong mix of washing up liquid.

I was doing soffits and gutters with just water, for ages. Have now tried tfr, and won't be looking back. I buy 5ltr tubs of concentrate and that has been doing 3-4 houses.

Tfr is deffinatly the stuff to use. I am knocking up a long reach sprayer as well and will show pics if I come up with a decent design
if it is dirty it is fair game

TFR or similar WILL make a difference to the actual clean aswell as  the time it takes.

I dont use TFR, but a product called VIRO-SOL. i mix this in a 25L container 1 part virosol, 23 part water & a bottle of cheap fairy.

When i first started out i use to just wfp... then i discovered virosol, came up with a great mix and i never looked back.

Thanks chaps, well im at least going to try it. gonna use the backpack to apply it (flush after obviously) and put an old brush on to SL2 I reckon this is the weapon of choice as im sure it will be a killer on the arms. gonna go to motor supply shop round the corner in a bit to see if they have anything suitable. thanks again, Dan.
