I've got a 47ft Supermax and used if fully extended a couple of months ago for 5 hours solid and it brought me to my knees. Came home and bought a 46ft Superlight and it took an hour off the job. A Supermax is a great pole, but not for all day use.

Have a Facelift c/f 44ft (2006) & Supermax-47 (2010) and the SM-47 is so much lighter than the Facelift but if I had to use it for extended periods of time I would look at the SL but I do like the telescopic use ...bit early to tell about wear & tear.

The SM is used for the odd job, say 3 times a month.

Cheers
Dave.

Just thinking would it be a real gem of a pole if you could buy a SL-X and then fit SL sections to the bottom? instead of having two poles?

Gardiners have always been great at looking forward...how's about it Alex? then when as section/part wears out you just order that part so in 10 years or so it'll still be the same pole but completely made of new parts ;D

Hi

At the momment i have a xtel carbon pole 60 ft i think its about 7 kg it is fair too hevey to use for long,i have had it about 5 years and i never use the last section so was hoping to get somr thing light and within my price range.
I dont have many jobs that i use it for and only use it for about half an hour at a time, but it feels like my arm is going to drop off and i always get a bad back after using it

Any comments Oliver Rise & Shine Cleaning

Hi Oliver.

The pole I was talking about the other day is the Gardiner Super-lite Extreme that they are due to launch shortly.
If you look on the Gardiner's website they have a teaser video on it.

http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/Product_Videos1.html

They aren't cheap but are very light and rigid.
