need to remove lime scale from customers windows tried cillit bang  and its not working is there any thing stronger i can use without damaging the upvc from of glass

Patio cleaner removes all limescale on glass.

Make sure you wear rubber gloves. I usually pour some onto a sponge and wipe over the glass but make sure you don't get any on the floor. Then rinse with plenty of water. It works every time.

Winsol Crystal Clear 550 - if this stuff doesn't get rid of it, it ain't coming off!

Ive just finished a two day job using Winsol on this place



Viakal didnt touch, it nor did B + Q Commercial Limescale remover, nor did this stuff



which is usually pretty damn good.

I found Winsol to be the product of choice in the end, although even that stuff there were still a few windows that didnt come up as well as Id have liked. However saying that I dont know if the deposits were limescale or a mineral deposit of a different nature.

I told them it would be 2 days work, they agreed and thats on top of the initial clean they've already paid, I enjoyed spending Wednesday and Thursday there. Thorough and conscientious job in a great location and in general something to show for it.

Yes it does sting btw, takes your skin off your hands too

Yeah and don't stick a cloth in your pocket with the stuff on whilst at the top of a ladder, forget its there and wonder why your leg is stinging.  :

I have read that this stuff can leave a slight haze on the "tin side" of the glass.
I gather this has not occurred on any of the windows?

I did a house this week that had limescale marks all over its patio doors.

I wiped them over with neat vinegar, then washed the windows as normal.

Came up lovely!

I've used a product called disclean ( it's used for tidying mortar from brickwork), it's very good but it can discolour certain metal, so be careful and do a test area.
