Had a analogue Varistream from 2006 (died Oct 2010) now have the Freedom (analogue 2006) trolley now in the van.

Have a spare which is a Gardiners version.

Cheers
Dave.

Is there any point 'upgrading' to one of the newer ones then, if there's nothing wrong with the ones we've got?  The original ones don't seem to break.

I have a dial type that controls flow only ie; does not replace pressure switch etc. just has a blue light that glows brighter when you turn up the flow, says essentially pure on it but I bought it straight from the manufacturer Crow electro 5+ years ago, brilliant and simple should last me a long time yet.

Once you get the hang of your varistream, do they work properly?  I can't seem to trust the flow in mine; though I am a total n00b to varistreams.

I have calibrated it in accordance with the instructions I was sent.

Sometimes my varistream provides a great flow on digital No 4 setting; and other times I have to bump it up to about 7, and then it starts flickering from "7" to "L" and buggering me about.

Ok tosh you will not like my advice on this subject and loads will disagree, but just throw them away, run at full flow and either finish earlier or earn more, use a mono brush leave it on the glass and flood the window quickly and turn off next window and repeat.

If you do follow this advice don't try to rinse off the glass as the water will bounce everywhere and cause spotting.

It will also be hard to really trust this method if coming from using a back pack ;)

I dont use one, just have a tap bypass back to tank, costs about £2 and is fool proof.

Who wants to vary the flow anyway?  If you want it slower, then put a valve or something in the line to restrict the flow.
