How dirty is your town ? Mines REAL dirty
« on: April 11, 2011, 09:52:09 pm »
Us window cleaners up here in Redcar, Cleveland are really blessed!!!! The Old ICI Site/British Steel blast furnace starting back up! Dirty windows all over the place. No problems with cleaning on a 4 weekly cycle!
How do you find your town?
By the way we all glow in the dark up here!!!  ;D

Ours used to be minging until the foundry's all closed and British aluminium closed down, now we have to rely on the Grangemouth oil refinery to kick out all the smoke ;) but luckily it is usually windy here so the dust gets blowing everywhere :D

i find London and surrounding areas surprisingly clean after 2 months very few seem to need a clean, if i could offer 3 months or 4 months customers would take it

i think it must be the lack of wind? monthly here these days are tricky i feel.

I live in the Black Country which got its name through having lots of steelworks. foundries etc hence the sky almost always being black with smoke etc.
These days its just shopping mall city.

We cant moan about ICI, as it has and still does, but under other names provided very well for us as a family, but it is dirties here, and worse being nearer to the coast. A friend who still works at Corus/British steel, and he washes his car every day, and you want to see the state its in, even with the furnace not running yet. But where theres muck, theres money
