Window Cleaning Link Exchange
« on: April 07, 2011, 09:47:53 pm »
Hi peeps.

I had a chat with a client and decided I should make a topic.

For businesses who have a website and access to change things this is for you!

You may/may not know about SEO (search engine optimization) but link exchange with relevant sites will benefit all of those involved.

This thread is for people who would like to grow there search engine ranking by having links on there site to other related sites and vice versa.

So basically you should make a page called friends for example, on this page have outgoing links to .gov sites like info about ladder health and safety etc. Maybe links to CIU, your favorite WC gear site and other cleaning/window cleaning related websites.

The main thing is links to other window cleaners in different areas or even your own. They than return the favour by having a link back to your website.

This will help your search engine ranking as you have related outgoing links and quality back links.

If you would like to get involved in this please post here or email me so I can generate a list of interest and get the ball rolling.

Cheers,

Ste  ;)

Give it a week or so to collect a good number of people than we shall crack on.

I have 4 that will deffo opt in.

I think it would be best to comment here to show there is interest and than email me titled 'Link Exchange' so I have better contact with everyone to make sure those who say yes now actually place links back in a weeks time.

Cheers,

Ste.  ;)

its a win win situation. i wouldnt link local windys even though loads are good mates, just doesnt make good business sense.

would it be best to have a seperate page called links, then put them all in there?

maybe a little explanation saying something like these are recommended companies?

Hi Pure,

That is the best thing to do, a page called links or friend etc.

Having local windies is no prob, its not customers who would see this page its Googles spiders. Although they may, the chances of them picking the next man is slim, just pop locals at the bottom of your list.

Also this is a small thing that will help window cleaners around the country and the chance of competitors in the same area opting in is quite slim.

Please send me an email PureClean so your on the list pal and get the email of those who added you/you need to add in a week or so.

Cheers.

Triangular links are not better, quite negative to be honest. Why do you know of such a thing?

I am not stating this is a new thing or something spectacular its just a good, simple thing each website owner can do to benefit their ranking compared to their competitors.

I don't see how you think many people already do this as there is no option to?

They may swap links with one or two friends but I don't see anyone managing a huge list of opt ins?

 ;)

Also PureClean..... of course you can and should link back to Facebook and make profiles on other web 2.0 websites who backlink to you and vice versa.

Thanks for joining the list. Got a nice number already. Keep it growing guys!

 ;D

In my experience, if you wish to get a top first page ranking, you need to stick a pic of yourself with a blow up doll.

Well thats not quite true. You not seen the rubber type dolls? If you are attempting top 3 ranking that is the only way!

I have a friend who tried the blow up method and ranked page 2 so please take Tosh's advice with a pinch of salt.   ;)

so you say custies dont see the links, how do you go about that?

i have tried adding links to mine, either writing out the website in full or i can add a link by allocating it to a word or letter or dot . for instance. is that what you do?

Well custies can see the links but it depends where you put them. If you make a page called 'links' don't have it as a tab, have a text link hidden away or even an image that links to 'this' page where you would have the links.

I personally hyperlink words. If you don't have that option try
