suns out - here comes the cowboys!
« on: April 07, 2011, 03:02:25 pm »
worked 9 - 2 today, got a few thing to do at home ...

in the time i worked i saw 17 different wcs on the road, all in cars with bear towels hanging from the window and bucket with kit in it stuck on the ladder rung.

i was doing one house and this cow boys pulls up opposite, one of the front windows is up a very steap slobbing tiles garage roof - he just had at going along the roof with nothing on the bottom, he did the window with his plastic kit and came back down ....

he left the ladder at this angle, which is right in front of the customer front door, think he was round the back and the customer came out and walked straight into the ladder with his toast in his mouth. ladder just moved a bit and the customer seemed in a rush.

customer got in his 11 plate golf and went to drive off, window cleaner had put his bucket in front of the car and the customers ran over it and then got his new car stuck on the window cleaners step ladder ( oh sorry - milk crate! )

Yes I am laughing - but only because that's how I worked for years  :) .  I did find that milk crates were a bit flimsy though.  I found beer crates much stronger and a bit taller.

I love the sun, drags out all the customers that are let down over the not so sunny days, little explaining how things should be done, and results all day, love it!

I think most on here started initially as cowboys maybe to just test the water. I did in between jobs and on weekends if I was in a poorly paid job.
