do any of you regularly give to charity through your company ?

Was thinking this the other day whilst watching an ad on tv for water aid asking for £2 a month.
Say for example you had 200 customers a month at an average of £10 each
donate a penny from every pound would be £20 a month, thats £240 a year
Am i right in thinking its also  tax deductable ?

Would you put this on your advertising/website/flyers ?

Its a win win situation that does some good, imagine if we were all doing this for good causes.

No, I wouldn`t give to WaterAid.
I wouldn`t want them starting up in competition to me.

Yes if donating from your business it is tax deductable

Before giving to any charity it's worth checking what percentage of funds go directly to good causes. Some "charities" give as little as 7%. There are some directors living very comfortable lifestyles from the remaining 93% in admin fees.

I agree with you, deeege. It is good to check to whom you are giving your money. There are a lot of fake charity funds these days...
