I'm probably going to do exactly the same as you, Dan.  I really need to be out working, so I'm going to jam everything together, try and get it working in some fashion, and then take another look at it once I've made some money.

Oh, if you're going to keep the van for a few years, it's probably best to protektakote it; don't you?

It is an idea to do something, whether it is protectakote or fibre glass kits, or on my first van I painted with underseal and put a big rubber matt down.

any protection is better than no protection.

I've never protected my van floors with anything but Ply. However, unlike every other wfp'er I know, my van rear is bone dry, all the time!

Waste of time if the van is new.
Mine is 4 years old now and always wet in the back. I have no rust or anything forming.

If it's already old or a bit crap then might be worth it... But then if it's old what's the point then either...!

I have not protected my floor either, i have van ports fitted and never get the back of the van wet

Only bit i get on the floor is water dripping from the brush after cleans

Protectakote is also a non slip (rubberised) paint, so if there is water on the floor then you wouldn't slip on the odd occassion you need to climb in the back. Also as it's non slip it also helps to keep any loose gear from moving all over the place as you drive along.
