I'm doing a commercial job soon (carpets) and they have also asked me if i do tile cleaning or if i know someone that does. Well i dont but would like to try it myself, plus dont want to risk losing the whole job lol

Its basicly two changing/shower rooms which are both are about 10 meters by 5 meters each. Its your bog standard commercial small floor tiles...   They are not too grotty but could do with a good clean. The grout is pretty minging too.

So i have a rotery (i think its 200 rpm if not its slightly less) with a poly brush, and i also have a wet vac.

What would be the best plan of action? What chems should i use for best results and lastly, what should charge for this??  I dont mind doing the tiles for a bit less (compared to a pro) as it will be my first time.

Did my first tile and grout clean a couple of weeks back,was impressed with the results,as was the person who booked me.
I used aqua mix heavy duty tile and grout cleaner,this was possibly a bit overkill chemical wise,as they were also not in bad condition,I just wanted to make the best first impression.
I used a rotary with a bristle brush,it was one I hired,and I think the brush was probably for polishing,rather than cleaning,but it did  a good job,and the payment paid for my recon Victor europa.

I brushed the diluted chemical on,scrubbed for a bit,mopped it up,then rinsed it off,grout all came up white when it dried,and looked great.
As it was my first one I went in at .26p per sq ft,will be upping this to around .40p per sq ft ,once I have been trained,and have more experience

Where abouts did u get your Aqua mix from mate? I googled and found a suppler on ebay. £22 for 3.7 litres. Do you know what area that covers?

And when you say rinse it off, do you mean with a porty or with a clean mop and water? Sorry noob question i know lol

You want a set of grout brushes, i just use a triple motor wet vac. Dilution rate depends on how dirty the grout is...Give it plenty of dwell time to work.

Thanks Sherco. I seen the video on youtube of a guy using Aqua Mix Heavy Duty and the tiles i'll be cleaning are nothing like what he was doing. So i think one part Aqau mix to two parts water is pretty far.

I didn't use my machine too vac up,i didn't use that much liquid,I diluted it 1 part a,mix 5 parts water,2 1/2 litre did the entire job.
Bought from here on e bay,another thing too watch is as it's smaller than the 5 ltr containers,don't like I did expect it to stay on the shelf,when you go around a corner

And yes just rinsed off with a new mop,and kept changing the water until it was coming off clean

Try not to get it on you,I was full on rubber gloved,waterproof trousers goggles,probably slightly overkill,but also due to the environment where I was working..

He will put you right, i would speak to him direct rather than go through EBAY.

You can also mix some stain solver with oxygen bleach with warm water. Hope it can help you mate.

use your rotary with a scrubbing attachment,use qmt stoneclean from prochem,after scrubbing use your wet pick up

I'll second that QMT is excellent and a fraction of the price. Even when I've used it  on smoke damaged tiles and grout they come out brilliant.

Enzall gives really good results on ceramic tiles.

^^^ whoops that was me. Found out I originally registered on hear 7 years ago.

The best thing about using Enzall is you don't have to worry getting it on adjacent carpets. 2 scoops to 10 litres works well.
