Things customers say / ask
« on: March 26, 2011, 10:06:01 am »
Had 1 lady this week who has been WFP since November and she was concerned that due to the hot weather coming that the water droplets would dry spotty and could I go back to the old fashioned way for the summer.

Re explained WFP so all happy ....... sometimes wonder what some customers are thinking who dont ask questions  ::)

I like itwhen you stand there and explain all about wfp and the benefits to them and to you as it's ladderless and safer.

After you've finished and knock for payment they say don't you go up the ladder to leather off the windows ::)

And yes i do tell em it drys naturaley (but it takes longer to dry if you stand and watch it) :D

Or then they say there's an outside tap round the back.

I've cleaned some customers houses for months on end (with the customer at home) before they ask if we dry them on the fifth or sixth visit??? Always makes me chuckle

Classic! I will remember that for next time someone asks me if I am going to dry them off.  ;D

Once we went to a house we've been doing for about 2 yrs but the man of the house had never met or seen us before. We turned up and unlocked his back gate and he came running out literally shouting at us

'what the hell do you think your doing, leave that gate alone?'

I said cleaning your windows?

'Oh how often do you visit?' He asked. 'Every month' I said........

So he retreated indoors in sheer embarrassment.

Since that visit the wife wrote to me asking to go bi-monthly!!! Grrrr

I have had a few classics. I was just starting one job when the customer asked if I would clean his car? I said thanks, but no and he said "but I have just driven all the way from Newcastle" ?
Another had watched me clean a house over the street from him {wfp} and asked me to do his. I started to clean and he came out and said what are you doing? Er, washing the windows as you asked me to. "Don't be ridiculous" he said and slammed the door. Needless to say I didn't finish the first window before packing up.

I've explained it all before and the guy then showed me where his outside tap was.  No, I didn't run off screaming  ;D
