agree with most of threads re the blue hose reel had similar and same probs - thiugh ive been pleased with pure freedoms system and service.

my other pet hate about reel is the plastic spiggot or thread on the end of the crank from centre of reek - why isnt it metal ive had leaks from the brass hose fitting because it has now cross threaded and yet still too tight to put ptfe tape on as well.

if i could find a replacement core with metal spiggot id be interested to hear where guys ? but i have one 100mtr blue hose reel and 100mtr hose that i havent used yet so shant be replacing for a while.  >:(

I binned the brass connector that goes onto the hose reel and I replaced it with the hoselock fitting that comes with the van port, no leakage whatsoever

Going for a cox reel next - they look alot better
